The storm is bound to dump 10 inches of snow on this part of the US, meteorologists say

By the looks of it, the snowstorm now taking its toll on several US states is by no means something to be dispatched as just one other run-off-the-mill weather phenomenon.

More so given the fact that, because of this winter storm, almost 1,000 flights to and from airports in Chicago got canceled only this past Wednesday. Sources report that, in the aftermath of several warnings issued by meteorologists, the O’Hare International Airport decided to not give the green light to a total of 850 flights, whereas the Midway Airport canceled over 230 takeoffs and landings.

For the time being, ordinary folks are asked to contact airlines in order to obtain information concerning their flight status prior to heading towards the airports.
