When exactly did Capcom start work on the PC version

Just in case you didn't get the chance to play the Xbox 360 version of Lost Planet: Extreme Condition, Softpedia is offering you the chance to download and play the demo right now. For the DirectX 9 version, click HERE and if you want a more compelling experience, download the DirectX 10 version HERE.

Just found out about it myself and I have to say I'm a little surprised to see that Capcom has already released a demo for the PC installment of Lost Planet: Extreme Condition. Take Halo for instance. It's had a fairly similar development process, yet the PC version of Halo 2 is only just launching. Halo 2 for the Xbox was released at the end of 2004. That's almost three years between the two versions.

Anyway, either Capcom has started work on the PC installment for Extreme Condition a long time ago, or they're moving at the speed of light over there at the studio. Who cares as long as the demo is yours for the taken?

When it launches, the full PC version will feature enhanced graphics and effects to optimize the realistic presentation and explosive action in-game, with better shadows and more detailed textures, as well as higher monitor resolutions. The game will also include a new lobby interface that has been adapted for the PC port.

The full game will be released in just over a month, on the 29th June. You can either play the demo using a mouse and keyboard or a gamepad controller. Have fun!
