14 DAY TRIAL // Miley Cyrus is now dating her “So Undercover” co-star, British actor Josh Bowman, despite stating the contrary a few days ago. As it turns out, if the name Bowman rings a bell it’s because he dated Amy Winehouse two years ago.
“So Undercover” is now shooting on location in New Orleans, Louisiana. On a break from filming, Miley and Josh went on what looks like a date.
The two were photographed lounging on the grass in Griffith Park in Los Angeles, with Miley resting between Josh’s legs and cradling her puppy as he tenderly kissed her temples.
Their body language leaves no doubt that they’re dating and that the romance is fresh, word in the blogosphere has it.
TMZ is the first one to connect Josh to Winehouse, the singer who is nearly as famous as she is for her amazing voice as she is for her drug-related problems.
“Miley Cyrus and Amy Winehouse have a lot more in common than you may think... like the same taste in men,” the e-zine writes.
“This weekend Miley cuddled up with her ‘So Undercover’ co-star Josh Bowman – who used to date popwreck Amy back in 2009,” TMZ says.
Josh and Amy became involved while she was on an extended vacation in St Lucia, with photos of the two on the beach emerging online and then making headlines around the world.
Because the romance seemed too unlikely, speculation immediately began that Josh was only dating Amy because he was looking to get his name out there and thus launch his acting career.
In other words, he was a gold digger, just that he wasn’t after Winehouse’s money but rather after the kind of media exposure she could get him, a claim he immediately denied.
“It’s true to say that I’m a budding young actor. But I’d rather get my name out there because of my acting rather than who I’m being photographed with,” he said at the time.
It is believed Josh’s fling with Amy lasted only a couple of months at the most.
