The update doesn't bring any new features into the mix

OnePlus 3 and 3T have already received their promised Android 7.0 Nougat update in the last day of 2016. The so-called OxygenOS 4.0 was delivered to both smartphones last year, but the update did not come without faults.

Apparently, the initial Android 7.0 Nougat build was plagued by many issues, some of which could be tagged as “major.” However, OnePlus is now trying to patch all those bugs that are now afflicting both the OnePlus 3 and 3T smartphones.

The latest update for these devices, OxygenOS 4.0.2, is meant to solve one issue and improve a couple of already existing features.

Keep in mind that this is the second OxygenOS update that OnePlus 3 and 3T have received after Android 7.0 Nougat was rolled out.

The official changelog posted on OnePlus' forum contains both the changes included in the previous update and the new ones that come with OxygenOS 4.0.2.

If you don't know what OxygenOS 4.0.1 added when it got released, here is a quick rundown of these changes.

First of all, OnePlus added improved Shelf Customization and APN settings for select carriers. In addition, the update fixed a proximity sensor bug during calls. It was also supposed to increase system stability.

Well, the latest OxygenOS 4.0.2 update addressed a Google Play bug that prevented OnePlus 3 and 3T users from downloading some apps from the app store. Aside from that, there aren't any new major changes included in the update.

One last thing that's worth mentioning is that Wi-Fi connectivity issues that were affecting OnePlus 3 and 3T phones before OxygenOS 4.0.2 was released will continue to affect them.

The Chinese company confirmed Wi-Fi connectivity might still fluctuate. Also, there's no workaround for this issue, so let's hope OnePlus will find a way to patch it in the next update.
