This is a limited-time offer that will end very soon

If you plan on purchasing the unlocked version of Lumia 950 in the United States, then you are out of luck since the smartphone is not available anymore.

The unlocked Lumia 950 was briefly available for purchase at Microsoft Store US, but it now shows as out of stock and there's no telling when the next units will arrive.

But there is good news for customers who don't mind activating the Lumia 950 on AT&T's network. The major carrier now offers the Lumia 950 for just $550 outright, but only for a limited time.

The smartphone is usually available at AT&T for $600 on the no-contract, but for the next couple of days, the carrier has decided to slash the phone's price by $50.

Both white and black versions are discounted

Unfortunately, it's unclear how long this promotional offer will last, so those who want to take advantage of the price cut might want to hurry up.

So, due to strong demand or faulty forecasting for the Lumia 950 sales, this is one of the few places where customers can still purchase the smartphone in the United States. Obviously, there might be other options, but you will probably have to give up the warranty.

If you're still undecided and want to wait until Microsoft releases Windows 10 Mobile so you can upgrade your current Lumia smartphone, then you will have to wait at least several more weeks.

Microsoft has recently announced that Windows 10 Mobile updates for Windows Phone 8.1 handsets won't arrive until next year.

Currently, Lumia 550, Lumia 950 and Lumia 950 XL are the only smartphones that run Windows 10 Mobile operating system right out of the box.

However, the Redmond-based company plans to launch one or more mid-range Windows 10 smartphones in the first quarter of 2016.
