Google Assistant is to be packed inside the flagship

Unlike other handset makers that will unveil new products at Mobile World Congress (MWC) later this month, LG continues to tease its flagship smartphone, the G6.

The new teaser suggests the LG G6 could offer much more than what other high-end smartphones provide in terms of AI. The tagline “Less artificial. More intelligence.” hints to deep AI integration of LG's voice assistant.

Speaking of which, based on what we've been able to learn so far, there's a high chance the LG G6 will be launched with Google Assistant on board. LG and Google have a long-standing partnership, so it's no wonder the search giant allowed the South Korean company to use its voice assistant on its flagship.

If these rumors are true, the LG G6 will be the first non-Pixel/Nexus device to include Google Assistant, which might give it an advantage over other flagships that will be announced around the same time.

Samsung, on the other hand, won't be bringing its Galaxy S8 at MWC 2017, so the long-rumored Bixby AI won't be officially introduced in late February.

Not many customers choose their smartphones based on the type of voice assistant they pack, but this is clearly one feature that's taken into consideration by many.

While we know what Google Assistant has to offer, we know absolutely nothing about Samsung's Bixby since it hasn't been introduced yet. Once a comparison between the two AI voice assistants can be made, we'll be able to tell which one's better.

The LG G6 will be officially unveiled on February 26, but the smartphone won't make it to the market until March. Aside from Google Assistant, we also know the flagship will be equipped with a Snapdragon 821 CPU and non-removable battery.

The smartphone will feature waterproof design and a compact form factor, as opposed to LG G5's modular design. We're hoping to get more info on some of the unique stuff the G6 might bring into the mix by the time the phone goes official, so stay tuned.
