As many as two jailbreak methods are immediately available for iOS 4.3 builds, with the instructions already posted on the web. In addition to not encouraging such practices, Softpedia advises against proceeding with the rather complicated procedure, which creates what is known as a ‘tethered’ jailbreak for now.

With the iOS 4.3 GM (Gold Master) out the door, hackers have gotten their hands on the goods and managed to break into the software.

According to one report, the manual method for jailbreaking the iOS 4.3 GM involves downloading a custom PwnageTool bundle, feeding it to the actual jailbreak tool by the iPhone Dev Team, creating a custom IPSW file, making a ramdisk, and inserting that ramdisk into the custom IPSW.

From here, users can restore to the firmware bundle via iTunes, though success is not guaranteed. Not by far, actually, as the source indicates this is not a job for the non-savvy iOS population.

With the iOS 4.3 (Final) launch just around the corner (March 11), jailbreak fans would do themselves a huge favor by waiting for the likes of Chronic Dev and the iPhone Dev Team to do their job and release comprehensive solutions for hacking the new software.

Current hacking solutions offer an untethered jailbreak for iOS 4.2.1. A hack for the iOS-based Apple TV 2nd generation is also available.

According to a recent update from the infamous iPhone Dev Team, an untethered jailbreak exploit is already available for iOS 4.3.

The hackers are cautious not to update their tools with the exploit until Apple releases the final iOS 4.3 IPSW into the wild, ensuring that Cupertino does not thwart long hours of hard work trying to find holes in the iOS.

This article has a purely informational purpose and doesn't, in any way, suggest that you should hack your Apple device.

Using hacks may render your device unusable, or may reduce the quality of your experience employing the respective device.

If you choose to download and install jailbreak tools, you will do so at your own risk. Unlocking / jailbreaking your iPhone / iPod touch / iPad / Apple TV may violate your warranty or the EULA with Apple and / or your cellular-service provider.
