Individuals enrolled with Apple’s developer program are being notified that iOS SDK 4.3 GM Seed is now available as a free download through the iOS Dev Center on Apple’s website. The tools are being offered so that programmers can tweak their apps in accordance with the particularities posed by iOS 4.3.

Revealed in a note on the News & Announcements section of Apple’s iOS Dev Center, iOS SDK 4.3 GM Seed is touted as a must download for those who wish to have their apps working well on iOS 4.3 devices come March 11.

“Get your apps ready for iOS 4.3 which features faster Safari mobile browsing performance with the Nitro JavaScript engine, iTunes Home Sharing, enhancements to AirPlay, and Personal Hotspot,” Apple states.

The Cupertino-based tech giant notes that “iOS Developer Program Members can now download iOS 4.3 GM seed and SDK GM seed from the iOS Dev Center.”

Those focusing on iPad applications are being reminded that Apple’s second-generation tablet device now features additional functionality that they might want to leverage using iOS SDK 4.3 GM.

“Be sure to update your iPad apps so they take advantage of iPad 2 features including the powerful Apple A5 chip, built-in front and rear cameras, and gyroscope,” Apple writes.

Scheduled to become publicly available on March 11, iOS 4.3 is the latest version of Apple’s mobil operating system powering iPhones, iPads, and iPod touches.

The new release will be compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPod touch 3rd generation and Pod touch 4th generation, as well as the two iPads.

One new feature - the Personal Hotspot function - will only be available for GSM versions of the iPhone.

In fact, iOS 4.3 doesn’t even ship for the CDMA iPhone 4 running on Verizon’s network in the U.S.

The iPad, for its part, gets an exclusive option to toggle between the functions available for the hardware switch located on the top right side of the device (just above the volume buttons).
