Yfrog Arrives on Android and BlackBerry Phones

Android and BlackBerry mobile phone users have now yet another appealing application available for them to enjoy: Yfrog. The new versions of the application have been recently announced as being available for the two mobile operating systems, offering users a new, simple and enjoyable way of sharing photos directly from their handsets running either under Research In Motion's OS or under Google's platform.

According to the company, the new Yfrog versions enable users to easily send both images and videos to Twitter directly from their phone. Not to mention the fact that the application is being offered for free for both mobile platforms. In addition, the app also enables phone users to browse through their tweets. However, it seems that the Twitter functionality is only a basic one and, even if the Yfrog app provides a series of features like list of followers and following or saved searches.

The features list of the new application for Android handsets includes:

- Queue multiple uploads
- Included GPS location with upload
- Unlimited uploads

On the image and video uploading area, the application has enough features to offer for any user to enjoy, including its capability to benefit from the hardware specs of the device it runs on. Moreover, the user interface Yfrog comes around with is an appealing one, it seems, although it does not feature support for multiple accounts. The software solution can be used on any Android handset running under the 1.5 or higher flavors of the platform.

When it comes to the BlackBerry devices that can enjoy the Yfrog app, the company says that all those running under OS 4.2 or higher. However, the features list of the app here is a little shorter, with support for photos and video uploads, view of tweets, followers and following, and messages, and with search Yfrog capabilities.
