People ignoring the PS3

Looks like things have changed for Sony and their next-gen console. As you can see from the picture, the PS3 is not exactly what you would call "hot property" anymore. Just go back a couple of months ago, and remember the lines, the pushing, the shoving, the violence, the drama, all for Sony's gaming console.

Where is that now? Isn't the PS3 that "cool" anymore? From what I'm seeing, PS3s are just standing there in a store. A Best Buy store to be more exact, as they have revealed that they would be selling some Sony consoles starting with Sunday, according to Kotaku. Brian Crecente from the same gaming blog, moved his behind to the Best Buy store near him and discovered that no more and no less than 31 PS3s were just laying there and nobody was rushing to buy them. Apparently, they were 60 GB models.

While he was taking pictures of the PS3 stack, someone came and took one. Surprisingly as it may seem, he planned on buying it. The Kotaku blogger tells the story: "He happened to be right next to me when I was paying for my stuff and I heard him saying that the main reason he decided to get it was because it offered up games at 1080p and he wanted to see what it looked like on his plasma. It appeared he was also buying a Blu-ray movie and a copy of Madden for the system."

I guess that this guy had some money to spare?Given the fact that this happened after Christmas, maybe he was one of those people that save their money for after Christmas, in order to benefit from post-Christmas sale?Good for him! He got a next-gen!
