Nintendo has announced that Wii Fit Plus, the sequel to its fitness title still appearing in sales charts, is set to arrive in Europe on October 30. The company is aiming at more casual gamers at the same time enhancing the experience that it offers in the hope that it can launch another Balance Board-powered hit.

The main selling points of Wii Fit Plus are the new customization options that allow the fitness user to create an experience tailored to their needs. Both yoga and strength building routines can be adjusted for different training regimes and players can also set certain areas of their bodies as being in need of more toning than others.

Wii Fit Plus can even be adapted to just offer exercises that can relieve fatigue and improve overall body posture if training is too demanding. There's a new My Routine option that allows up to 30 exercises to be saved in a customized routine but players can choose from pre-made LifeStyle, Health and Youth routines.

Wii Fit Plus can now track the number of calories a player burns with each exercise by estimating the amount of oxygen that is being used by the body during the training sequence. This is then combined with BMI and weight tracking to show the user what they need to do to get in shape and what are the exercises best suited for them.

The Nintendo exercise videogame also adds 15 new balance games and six fresh strength training sequences in order to offer more variety to users. There's support for up to eight players for most of the games, including additions like Rhythm Kung Fu and Skateboarding.

Wii Fit Plus will ship with a Wii Balance Board for those who have not played the original but also as a standalone package for those who already own the Nintendo peripheral.
