Mobile phone carrier Vodafone UK is expected to launch some new, highly appealing devices to its users in the near future, including the recently unveiled Android-based HTC Desire HD, as well as the yet unannounced BlackBerry Bold 9780.

None of these two handsets was announced as being on its way to the wireless carrier, nor have they been listed on the operator's coming soon page, but info on their near arrival already emerged into the wild.

However, it appears that all the necessary details on the pricing Vodafone plans on putting in place for the BlackBerry Bold 9780 have leaked on the Internet, along with info on its near arrival.

According to the guys over at BerryReview, the upcoming Bold handset should be made available for purchase for free on Vodafone's airwaves on price plans that start at £35 per month on 24 months agreements, or at £40 per month on 18 months contracts.

Moreover, they note that the plans would also bring users 900 minutes (anytime/network), Unlimited texts, 500mb of data, and access to BIS.

There are great chances that the BlackBerry Bold 9780 would arrive on the US market around the same time when Vodafone would launch it, so keep an eye on this space for more info on the matter.

In the meantime, we should have a look at the other purported Vodafone UK-bound device, the HTC Desire HD, which has just made an appearance in the latest Vodafone UK catalogue.

The Android-based mobile phone was unveiled officially in mid-September and is expected to become available for purchase at the wireless carrier before the end of this month.

However, Vodafone won't be the first wireless operator in the UK to launch it, as T-Mobile has already unveiled plans to carry the smartphone.

Powered by Google's Android 2.2 Froyo OS, the HTC Desire HD packs a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, a 4.3-inch touchscreen, and an 8-megapixel photo snapper.
