After promoting the upcoming “Twilight” installment, “Breaking Dawn Part 1,” at Comic-Con 2011, Kristen Stewart’s job was only half done: “Snow White and the Huntsman” was still up. After the panel discussion, the actress got a Vanity Fair editor upset.

It’s no longer a secret that Kristen is really uncomfortable giving interviews, be they in a hotel room or in front of a live audience.

Similarly, even though she’s part of the biggest movie franchise of our times, the star still hates being on the red carpet and having to be polite to the press.

At Comic-Con, she had to do two panel discussions, one for “Breaking Dawn” and one for “Snow White” and, as the video below will show, during the latter, she seemed rather bored by everything happening around her.

One Vanity Fair editor, James Wolcott, noticed this and wrote that her “shtick” was getting old and she should just grow up and learn to play nicely, by the industry’s rules.

“After the Snow White and the Huntsman rollout in hallowed Hall H, I was remarking to Justin how tired Kristen Stewart’s affected emo shtick had gotten, how she slumps in her chair on stage half-turned to the audience (while all of her fellow panelists faced front), hanging her head as if all of the fame were too much and too new for her, swallowing her answers and hiding behind her hair,” Wolcott says.

Since she’s no longer a newcomer – in fact, Stewart has been making movies long before the “Twilight” craze, for those who are not familiar with her work – shouldn’t she act differently, the VF editor asks.

“Given the dozens of press and fan events she’s done, when is she going to stop acting like a teenager dragged out of her room to the dinner table?” Wolcott wonders out loud.

“To which a young fan of restricted height but loyal fierceness, overhearing us, wheeled her head around and said: ‘Kristen’s not pretending, she’s just REALLY SHY!’ I stand corrected,” the editor adds.
