June Holler from Virginia is already a serious contender to the title of worst mom of the year, after footage for TLC's “Toddlers & Tiaras” showed her giving her 6-year-old daughter Alana a concoction of Red Bull and Mountain Dew. Here's more to make your blood boil.

Holler first came to the attention of the international media after TLC aired a new season of its highly controversial reality series “Toddlers & Tiaras,” which focuses on the lives of girls who take part in kiddie pageants and, more importantly, on their mothers.

She was shown making her daughter (6) drink something she called “go go juice,” which was meant to energize and give her an extra “oomph” for the pageant.

She explained on Dr. Drew a while back that the “juice” was actually a mixture of Red Bull and Mountain Dew, in other words, a very strong combo of caffeine and sugar.

In a new interview with ABC's Good Morning America, Holler defends her choice of giving her daughter the “go go juice,” saying she could do much worse. She could, for instance, be giving her booze.

Video of the infuriating segment is below.

“There are far worse things. I could be giving her alcohol,” Holler says.

She doesn't believe Alana could grow up to be obese (just like she is). However, if she did, she would “love her regardless.”

At the same time, Holler doesn't really care if her daughter ends up with health issues because of her caffeine consumption at such a tender age.

Alana needs something that keeps her up and going for 12 hours on end, Holler reasons.

“A pageant day can last from 7 in the morning to 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 at night, so performing and getting a kid up that early and lasting all day without a rest, you have to energize their body,” she says.

Similarly, she doesn't understand why everybody is making this into “such a big issue” since she's not the only one who does this: she just happens to be on TV.

“There are normal people who give their kids this, so why is it such a big issue with us pageant moms that do it all weekend to keep our kids energized and awake?” she asks.

Below is her explanation in full, including a better look at how Alana is like when on the “go go juice.”
