Former co-star blasts Pitt

Brad Pitt is Lt. Aldo Raine in Quentin Tarantino’s latest film, “Inglourious Basterds.” As the movie continues to open in theaters all around the world, fans and the media can’t get enough interviews and photospreads with him. There is one person, though, who could do without the Pitt coverage and that is his former co-star Michael Madsen, who honestly thinks that the world has had enough of the Pitt-mania.

Paparazzi working for TMZ caught up with Madsen at LAX and asked him how he felt about Pitt’s most recent film, “Basterds.” Not only was the actor not willing to reveal whether he had seen the movie or not, but he even made it pretty clear that he had had enough of Pitt to last him for a lifetime, as also did the entire world. People were tired of hearing of Brad all the time, Madsen said, and so was he, so he refused to talk about him or his film.

While many would agree that, indeed, the media is going into Pitt overload, the question of why Madsen would say it too is justified, TMZ says, especially since it might have something to do with the actor holding a grudge against his former co-star. Apparently, a while back, Madsen reached out to Pitt and asked him for a favor in landing a part. Whether Brad offered him any assurance that he would get it is not known, but what is known is that the part eventually went to someone else, for which reason Madsen is still upset.

“Michael Madsen, who was also in ‘Thelma & Louise,’ definitely wasn’t joking around when he totally slammed Pitt to our photog at LAX, saying ‘Everybody’s had enough of Brad Pitt. I’ve seen enough of him for a lifetime.’ The bitter backstory: Madsen was reportedly ticked after Brad didn’t help him land a role in ‘The Assassination of Jesse James.’ The role Madsen wanted went to Sam Shepard instead.” TMZ says of Madsen’s ulterior “motive” for making the statement.
