Director spills the beans on the “coolest” thing about the actor

In recent weeks, as Brad Pitt was doing media rounds promoting his latest film, “Inglourious Basterds,” the question of whether he was still smoking pot came up. Pitt’s answer was unequivocal: he had stopped that and had become a responsible father to his six children. Quentin Tarantino, it seems, was not informed of this, as he has just spilled the beans on Pitt’s occasional drug use on Howard Stern’s radio show, WorstPreviews says.

For those failing to see the connection, “Inglourious Basterds” is directed by Tarantino and, as with any other project coming from him, during the shooting, he became close to the members of the cast, especially to Brad. As a matter of fact, Quentin and Brad became such good friends, that they often hang out together until the early hours of morning, the director tells the King of All Media, Stern.

One time, Tarantino recalls, he flew all the way to France to meet with the actor and discuss some details about the film with him. The two stood up until three o’clock in the morning, Tarantino says, drinking and talking. However, that was not the best part of the night, as that came only when Pitt took out a brick of hash, a pocket knife and started cutting a slice to Tarantino, who deemed this the “coolest” thing Brad had done until then.

“Director Quentin Tarantino went on the ‘Howard Stern Show’ to promote his upcoming ‘Inglourious Basterds.’ During his interview, he mentioned that the ‘coolest’ thing about Pitt was that he offered him cannabis during a visit to the actor’s home in France. Tarantino claimed that when he asked Pitt if he could borrow a pipe to smoke the drug, the actor went to the fridge and grabbed a fizzy drinks can. He then said Pitt asked him if he knew what to do with it, to which Tarantino replied: ‘Yeah, I know what to do with this.’” WorstPreviews writes of the interview.

The famous director also tells Stern, barely able to speak from that much laughter, that the stuff was “pretty good.” However, the most hilarious part was when Brad told him to use a Coke can to smoke it. Listen to Tarantino explaining the entire thing here.
