Tecmo Bowl: Kickoff Returns to Nintendo DS

- Football fans have all the reasons in the world to be happy

By: Calin Ciabai, Games Editor

Based on Tecmo Super Bowl, Kickoff will deliver to Nintendo DS owners and football fans (American football, that is) a great experience never seen before
in a Nintendo DS title. Tecmo, the developers, also promises that both newcomers and long time fans will be able to fully enjoy the title taking advantage of the easy to employ controls. Of course, high quality cut-scenes and fun, huge plays are also part of the setup Tecmo Bowl: Kickoff is promising to offer.

The title will also bring a host of new features in order to further enhance the gameplay experience. This means that customization options will be taken to the next level, everybody being able to customize the teams (such as team colors, emblems, player names, team cities and abilities) or the playbook - something that will increase, as you probably imagine, your ecstasy of winning. Of course, a bit of arcade-like style can never be bad in such a game, so super abilities (or over-the-top-plays) will be available to you and they will always be able to change the fate of a game.

"We are extremely excited to bring back everyone’s favorite football game to the Nintendo DS," said Ryan Gilbo, executive producer, Tecmo. "Kickoff is packed with everything that fans wanted to see in this revival. No other football game will ever compare to Tecmo Bowl as this is the game that started it all," he added.

In order to bring us the ultimate football experience, Tecmo Bowl: Kickoff will use some "outside" help, too. The soundtrack of the game, for example, will be represented by rock and roll remixes of the most memorable tunes in football gaming history, while the all-new cut-scenes will show off the dramatic presentation of various plays. And all these, plus many more will soon be available for every Nintendo DS owner and American football fan, since the game will be released sometime during this fall.
