14 DAY TRIAL // One year ago, Taylor Swift dated Jake Gyllenhaal for about two months, with the relationship ending on Jake's initiative. Since then, she's been constantly “harassing” him to give her another chance, says a new report.
The latest print issue of InTouch Weekly (story via here) claims that, to this day, Taylor still hasn't gotten over Jake, since she probably believes he was truly “the one.”
As we also informed you at the time, it was Jake who reportedly broke up with her after just 2 months and he chose to do it over the phone because he wanted to avoid “a scene.”
Word has it that Taylor was heartbroken because she actually thought they stood a chance and did not see the breakup coming, because they were getting along just wonderfully.
If the latest report is to be believed, she still thinks that.
“As a friend of Jake’s explains, after the songbird looked to the 30-year-old actor to try to rekindle their romance, he shot her down,” the celebrity magazine writes.
“Taylor still reaches out to him and he wants nothing to do with her,” the spy explains.
The reason Jake doesn't want to have anything to do with Taylor anymore is that she's become really close to another one of his exes, Reese Witherspoon, the insider explains.
Because Reese broke his heart when she broke up with him, he is not comfortable with dating someone who is a close friend of hers, InTouch argues.
“Jake’s normally an easygoing guy, but the thought of Taylor telling Reese everything she knows about him just puts a knot in his stomach,” says the so-called pal.
“He couldn’t sleep or eat for days after Reese ended their relationship. He’s embarrassed about it now,” the tipster adds.
The magazine also claims that being turned down (again) by Jake will probably push Taylor now to write that song about him – the one that never materialized earlier this year, regardless of how badly the tabloids wanted it to come out.
