Playable demos, content packed DVD and more

THQ has revealed to the press yesterday that Relic Entertainment's epic "Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War" RTS series is now available in one comprehensive set with the same title and a Platinum Edition stamped on it. The collection contains all three of the franchise's award-winning titles, plus a content-packed bonus DVD featuring playable demos.

The titles are Company of Heroes, Supreme Commander and Titan Quest. "THQ's Relic Entertainment has created three blockbuster titles set in the Warhammer 40,000 Universe, establishing the series as one of the most popular RTS franchises worldwide," said Bob Aniello, senior vice president of worldwide marketing, THQ. "Bringing the titles together into one collector's platinum edition is a must-have for any RTS enthusiast."

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War: Platinum Edition features:

- a dark, futuristic, fantasy universe with armies of technologically advanced warriors - fighting machines and hordes of implacable aliens wage constant war - all three titles in Relic Entertainment's award-winning RTS franchise - the original Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War, Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War: Winter Assault and Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War: Dark Crusade - gamers will be able to play as all seven epic races in single-player and multiplayer - the bonus DVD will contain three playable demos and trailers for THQ's lauded PC titles

Armies in Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War include:

Space Marines - leading them are Captain Gabriel Angelos and Librarian Isador Akios, relying on high morale, tough and versatile but expensive infantry and superior vehicles; Orks - leading them is Ork Warboss Orkamungus, relying on a tremendous amount of infantry; Eldar - they are fast and have highly specialized troops, being led by Farseer Macha; Chaos Space Marines or simply, Chaos - they use heavy and skilled close combat troops, morale-draining daemons and powerful psychic powers.

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War: Platinum Edition is now available across the US, setting you back some $39.99. But hey, if you're a real fan of THQ's work, then everything they roll out is a must have title.
