14 DAY TRIAL // The Sidekick lineup at T-Mobile USA is not dead yet, even if it seemed so a few months ago, and today's launch of the new T-Mobile Sidekick 4G, the Android-based device from Samsung is a proof of that.
Although the wireless carrier announced a few months ago that the Sidekick services behind its devices will be closed on May 31st, it managed to bring a fresh device to the series, and keep it alive longer.
The T-Mobile Sidekick 4G comes with a series of appealing features packed inside, and the two videos embedded at the bottom of this article, which represent two ads that T-Mobile started airing not too long ago, would offer you some more info on the matter.
Some of the main capabilities of the new mobile phone would include:
- Texting evolved: Reply-all Group Text and texting from the web with Cloud Text - Lighting-fast 4G data download speeds - Front-facing camera for T-Mobile Video Chat powered by Qik - 3.5 inch touch screen, speedy 1 Ghz processor, five-row QWERTY keyboard.
The T-Mobile Sidekick 4G sports all of the usual features that Android-based devices come with, including support for various Google Mobile services, as well as for applications available for download via the Android Market.
The handset comes with a microSD card slot with support for 32GB cards (a 2GB card included), a 3MP camera with auto focus and video capture, customizable homescreen, WiFi calling, tethering, Voice actions from Google's and more.

Just as previously announced, the T-Mobile Sidekick 4G from Samsung is now available for purchase through the wireless carrier, featuring $99.99 upfront cost upon the signing of a two-year contract agreement with the wireless carrier.
The smartphone is listed at the operator with a price tag of $379.99 attached to it if purchased contract free, and is available in two colors, Matte Black and Pearl Magenta, available here and here, respectively.
