Mobile phone carrier T-Mobile has just made available new videos with the company's upcoming T-Mobile Sidekick 4G device, the first sidekick to run under Google's Android operating system.

Unveiled officially a few weeks ago, the new handset should arrive at T-Mobile in the not too far future, though the carrier did not commit to a specific release date as of yet.

The mobile phone carrier already published a video presentation of this device into the wild, so that its customers would be able to learn some more details on what the handset would include, and it seems that more of them are now available for their viewing pleasure.

“The new Android-powered smartphone pays tribute to its heritage with its stylish good looks and a killer keyboard while redefining messaging and upgrading to 4G speeds,” the carrier said about the handset recently.

With a 1GHz Cortex A8 Hummingbird processor inside, the smartphone would certainly impress, especially since it also includes a 3.5-inch touchscreen display, and a five-row sliding QWERTY keyboard.

The specifications list of the new device also includes 1GB of internal memory, complemented by a microSD memory card slot so that users can expand the available storage space.

WiFi and HSPA+ connectivity options were included into the mix as well, along with a front facing webcam to enable video calling.

The new device is powered by Google's Android 2.2 Froyo operating system. It would include support for Google's Mobile services, as well as for applications available for download via the Android Market.

In the two videos embedded below, you will see Joe Fernandez, product manager for the new Sidekick 4G, presenting the Google Services and multimedia experiences that this handset can offer.

T-Mobile already unveiled plans to have the new device priced at $99.99 after a $50 mail in rebate on an unlimited monthly contract, or at $149.99 with a data-capped plan, but did not unveil a specific release date for the device as of yet.
