Singer says she wants to focus on her singing, winning “Britain’s Got Talent”

Despite speculation that she was considering relocating to American to cash in on her instant rise to fame before it’s too late, “Hairy Angel” Susan Boyle sticks with the show that made her famous, “Britain’s Got Talent.” The 47-year-old woman with the voice of an angel is not interested in going into showbiz and will stick to what she knows best, meaning music, as she reveals for ITV (via the Daily Mail).

Earlier reports had it either that Boyle, overwhelmed by her meteoric rise to international superstardom was on the brink of a breakdown because she could not cope with the impressive amount of media attention, or that she was about to move to the US to make a fortune. Neither is true, the singer herself says in a recent interview, since she’s determined to stay on “Britain’s Got Talent” until she’s eliminated or, preferably, she wins the competition. What will happen after that, only time will tell.

“There is no way I am quitting the show. The only way I’d leave the show is if Simon Cowell kicked me out! They don’t need to worry about me quitting that’s for sure! All I can say to everybody is some of the stories about me in the papers are just untrue... I’m not going anywhere; I just want to concentrate on my singing.” Susan Boyle says for the aforementioned media outlet. Then again, sticking with Cowell is an excellent idea, since he’s said to be working hard for her to land her a contract with a major label, as we previously reported.

As for the rumor that she can’t deal with the pressure of instant fame, which surfaced after her brother confirmed she had gone into “hiding” for a short while, Boyle says that that too is nonsense. It’s just the media that’s trying to get a story where there is none to be had, she explains. “I’m not stressed and I’m certainly not on the verge of a breakdown! I’ve never felt more positive, it’s all nonsense.” Boyle tells the media.

While Susan Boyle is keeping mum on future projects and plans to get her music out there, word in the industry has it that Cowell is trying to get her on Oprah’s show to ensure that she gets a number one album in the US when the time comes. In this sense, the famous music mogul is believed to be in talks with major labels both in the UK and overseas, but nothing has been confirmed so far.
