Today, Wireless carrier Sprint announced the launch of a new TV advertising campaign aimed at promoting its $69.99 Everything Data Plan. According to the company, the new campaign should reinforce the advantages its plan offers to users, including voice and unlimited text, e-mail and Web, when compared to rival offerings that only include voice, all in a fun way.

According to the carrier, the new campaign tries to deliver the following message: “Why just talk with AT&T and Verizon? Sprint gives you unlimited text, Web and calling to any mobile in America for $69.99 with the Everything Data Plan.” One of the ads has been published in the company's YouTube channel and can be seen embedded at the bottom of this article.

Two TV ads were included in the new campaign, Sprint announced. One of them is aimed at a general consumer audience, while the second one is football-themed. The new ads present the advantages of Sprint's offering in a humorous manner. Although the characters in the ad sit in front of each other, they use text and email to send big news. A woman is breaking up with her boyfriend via text and e-mail, while a football player is learning via email that his season has ended. These ads are meant to bring to light light-hearted examples of “human truths” - scenarios that previously required making a phone call.

“Sprint offers one of the best values in wireless with a $69.99 plan that provides unlimited e-mail, text and Web,” Mike Goff, Sprint vice president of corporate marketing, commented on the new campaign. “Humor is a great way to deliver that message, and we believe these spots will resonate with consumers in a new, fun way.” The general consumer spot titled “Restaurant” is available below, while the second ad, titled “Injury,” should start being aired when football games would be aired. Later during this month.

The carrier's Everything Data plans start at $69.99 per month and offer Any Mobile, Anytime for unlimited calling in America, in addition to unlimited text, picture and video messaging, e-mail, Web browsing, or social networking on Sprint's network. “Everything Data plans are available with any Sprint phone and automatically enroll customers in the Sprint Premier loyalty program for annual phone upgrades, anniversary rewards and other benefits. Existing Sprint customers can switch to an Everything Data plan without extending their contract. New activations require a two-year service agreement. Monthly charges exclude taxes and surcharges,” the carrier notes.
