With support for 3G connectivity

Mobile phone maker Sony Ericsson announced today the release of another sliding handset, the Sony Ericsson T715. The new device comes to the market with smart desktop features, direct reminders of appointments, as well as with notes and animations meant to remind users of birthdays and global events. In addition, it also provides quick and easy messaging features, plus the ability to view conversation history.

The new Sony Ericsson T715 sports a compact and elegant sliding form factor, along with a large keypad, a 2.2-inch screen (with a 240 x 320-pixel resolution and support for 262,144 colors) that can be used even in direct sunlight, as well as support for 3G connectivity. Users will be able to access the Internet fast and easy, through the Access NetFront web browser, and to enjoy support for Google Maps and AccuWeather.com, which will provide local search and directions and three-day weather forecasts, respectively.

With a premium brushed aluminium cover and glossy front, this new mobile phone demonstrates the sophisticated design language consumers have come to expect from Sony Ericsson.”

The specifications list of the new Sony Ericsson T715 also includes a 3.2-megapixel photo snapper with video recording capabilities, Media player, support for Bluetooth with A2DP, PlayNow, TrackID, support for Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync, MMS, IM, FM radio with RDS, video streaming, geo-tagging of photos, USB port, 90MB of internal memory, microSD memory card slot, and support for GSM/GPRS/EDGE (850/900/1800/1900MHz) and UMTS HSPA 2100MHz connectivity.

The new mobile phone measures 91.5 x 48 x 14.9 mm and weighs 96.5 grams. It is expected to come to the market in Galaxy Silver (piano finish) and Rouge Pink (mirror finish), and should become available for purchase in the third quarter of the ongoing year. A T715a version with support for GSM/GPRS/EDGE (850/900/1800/1900MHz) and UMTS HSPA (850/1900/2100) should also surface.
