Japanese-Swedish mobile phone maker Sony Ericsson seems to have not ended its Windows Mobile story after all. Even if the Xperia X2 was said to be the last handset the company planned on delivering to the market running under Microsoft's mobile operating system, another handset from the joint-venture has just emerged into the wild, showing a nice Windows Mobile 6.5.3 OS pre-loaded on it.

The phone in question is said to bear the name of Faith, and is a candybar device that sports a QWERTY keyboard, as well as a 2.4-inch QVGA display with touch capabilities. According to the guys over at dailyiphoneblog, which brought a series of photos with the handset to the Internet, the Sony Ericsson Faith is to be included in the company's Green Heart lineup with all of its Windows Mobile goodness.

The specifications list of the new phone shows the aforementioned 2.4-inch QVGA touch screen display, an ergonomic design, multi-tasking capabilities, a QWERTY keyboard that should prove as boasting great usability, AGPS, a microSD memory card slot for additional storage space, and “panels for 24 hours life.”

Other specs of the new Sony Ericsson mobile phone include HSDPA, GSM Quadband (850/ 900/ 1800/1900), UMTS Dualband (900/ 2100) and EDGE connectivity options, as well as Wi-Fi capabilities. This Windows Mobile-based device is expected to arrive on the market in two color versions, namely Silver & Black.

One thing that is certain here is that Sony Ericsson does surprise us with the Windows Mobile 6.5.3 OS flavor running on the new Faith device. However, there is also the possibility that this phone will not make it to the market, something that happened before with handsets from Sony Ericsson. Even so, enthusiasts will certainly keep their fingers crossed for an official announcement to arrive in the near future, especially since no details on when or where Faith emerges have been unveiled so far.
