Sony Ericsson Brittany, Walkman Phone Coming Next Year

Sony is said to be bringing in a new kind of music device, since its older ones are now a bit outdated. Of course, there is also the possibility that it’s somehow trying to compensate for the recent, not so successful period, which has pretty much left a mark on its activity.

Actually, the Swedish-Japanese company, as it was first introduced, is in fact working on an entire line of walkman phones for next year. Moreover, for the first half of 2009, it might just represent the main attraction. In any case, Sony fans will probably be extra thrilled with this new appearance.

The Brittany is said to taken over for the W380, which, for some reason, has been left out completely. Although there isn't much information regarding this new walkman project, it already seems to better all other such appearances.

This clamshell device should not be regarded as a regular phone for it features several outstanding, some would say, specs. Among them would be the QVGA (320x240 pixel) screen, and the three specially designed music buttons, which are all meant to make the device easy to manage and even easier to enjoy. In addition, it will pack a 3.2 Megapixel camera, which we must admit is a more than satisfactory one considering the type of device we're dealing with, and a highly advanced Walkman 3.0 music playback software.

Other than this, there isn't much relevant information available, but from the looks of things, Sony is really doing its best to please its music fans. Most voices are already saying that the Brittany is all set to become the more affordable version of the W980. On top of all this, some of you might be happy to hear that it will also come in a large variety of colors, thus allowing you to customize your phone as you best like it.

If you're even a bit thrilled about this walkman phone, know that a fixed date for its release has not been set yet, but since rumors are saying it will drop in the second quarter of 2009, there's plenty of time for several updates regarding this mobile.
