Used only in marketing campaigns

Mobile phone maker Sony Ericsson is reportedly preparing new colors for its logo, at least when it comes to the marketing area. The company has a few devices that are yet to come to the market, and it seems that the advertising campaign the company is preparing for them will also bring to light a series of new color schemes for its logo.

Additional logos might not be too much for the struggled joint-venture, yet they certainly mark a change, continuing the shift in handset naming that was already announced a while ago and which has been spotted mainly with its newly unveiled Satio, Aino or Yari. The handsets should come to the market in the near future, along with some new Xperia handsets.

Sony Ericsson is not the first mobile phone maker to plan on making changes to its handset naming, yet any change is supposedly announcing a good thing. The new colors the company should use for its logo will probably not make it to the shelves on any of its future devices, though it is almost certain that they will show up in the marketing campaign of the upcoming mobile phones.

As for the devices that are to come from SE in the near future, we should first mention the Xperia X3, the company's first Android-powered handset, which has already been listed for pre-order, though there are no details on when it should land. Still in the Xperia line, the second Windows Mobile-based phone has already been rumored, the X2, though further pieces of information lack here too.

A rather attractive move the company is expected to make in the near future should be in the multimedia / entertainment area, with the aforementioned Satio, Aino and Yari, three handsets that will come under the Entertainment Unlimited project. Other things besides the logo might get changed in the near future as well, and more details should surface soon.
