The music game genre followed a very high ascending trend in the last year, as titles such as Rock Band or Guitar Hero opened a whole new world to gamers who are also into music. With the opportunity to play with their family and friends as the most famous bands out there, a lot of people purchased such games.
But as the two major brands duked it out for first place, other smaller titles also appeared, in an effort to make a dent in their fanbase. Such is the case with Sony's SingStar, which aims to offer a great karaoke experience, much like Microsoft with
Lips. The game gives players the chance to test out their voices as they are placed in the lead singer's shoes and must hit the right notes at the right time as they are shown on the screen.
Although we've seen quite a lot of iterations and special versions of the game, the one fans are most excited about is the upcoming SingStar: Queen, which, as you may have figured out, contains tracks from the famous rock band, and which is scheduled for release on March 17, for both the PlayStation 2 and the
PS3. Now, it seems that Sony decided to reveal the full tracklist of songs that gamers will be able to sing along in the future game.
Here's the list, as found on Kotaku:
