Shakira debuts video for “Rabiosa,” takes her suggestive dancing a step further

She’s known for her ability to do things with her body when dancing that would make a contortionist envious, so, for her latest video, Shakira takes things one step further, up on a stage with a dancing pole. “Rabiosa” is the name of her third single.

Since late 2010, Shakira has been keeping a low profile as regards the release of new music videos, which more than makes sense given that she’s been on tour.

However, her latest vid will undoubtedly make it up for fans because, in it, not only does she debut a new look with a cute bob dark wig, but she also works the pole almost like a professional.

Once more, Shakira proves that there are few female artists out there who can outdo her at dancing seductively – and that she can put out videos that are not really that suitable for work.

Since the release, the video for “Rabiosa,” her third single from the album “Sale el Sol,” has been getting thousands of hits by the hour, which should prove just how “hot” it is.

At the same time, it’s also been getting people to debate whether Shakira is “selling out” with it by doing the dance number at the pole, dressed as she is in a string bra and frilly hotpants.

According to some commenters on dedicated forums, she did not need to go down the road of Rihanna and Katy Perry because, unlike their music, her songs actually have meaning and substance.

On the same note, it’s not like the world doesn’t need that Shakira can be steamy hot when she wants to: after all, her suggestive moves and incredibly flexible body have made famous in all four corners of the world.

As such, she didn’t really need to remove more items of clothing to show that she was still at the top of her game.

On the other hand, her fans argue, with the words “come here a lil’ closer and bite me en la boca” and the energetic beats of “Rabiosa,” Shakira (and Pitbull) have just come up with this summer’s club anthem. And the video is just as good.
