To show how much she loves her fans, this summer, singer Shakira turned her back on big budget videos, flew to Barcelona and simply had fun filming for a couple of days a brand new music video.

“Loca” (“Crazy”) is the first single off Shakira’s bi-lingual album “Sale el Sol” (“Sun Comes Out”) – and has a video to match the name, as AceShowbiz can confirm.

The official vid starts with the singer surrounded by dozens of fans who are calling her name, as security is struggling to keep the situation under the control.

As the music kicks in, so do Shakira’s trademark hip moves – and all the fun, which culminates with a playful bath in one of the city’s famous fountains.

“Shakira’s ‘Loca’ music video has finally arrived in full, featuring rapper Dizzee Rascal. The Colombian singer is rolling around the streets of Barcelona before making a very public costume change,” AceShowbiz writes.

Indeed, once she’s done rolling, Shakira sits down on the pavement and changes outfits, as bystanders continues to gawk at her.

Out of her short skirt and into tight leather pants, the singer is free to jump on the back of a motorcycle and fully enjoy the city she’s in.

“The other scenes include hip-shaking dance moves, motorcycle riding and frolicking in the city’s fountain,” AceShowbiz says.

As also noted above, Shakira meant this video to be a tribute of sorts to her fans, which is why she chose to interact with them as if she were a regular person, albeit one with an incredible body and ripped abs.

“In this [video], she goes away from the traditional big production video to filming visuals with a hand-held camera in an attempt to capture the true interpretation of the song of being ‘loca’ with her fans,” AceShowbiz also says.

“‘Loca’ is a remake of El Cata’s song ‘Loca Con Su Tiguere.’ It is recorded in English with Rascal as a featured guest and in Spanish with the addition of El Cata’s vocal,” the same e-zine points out.

“Sale el Sol” is out in US music stores on October 19. Until then, check out the video below, the official video for “Loca.” Enjoy.
