14 DAY TRIAL // Stunner Megan Fox is on to host the season premiere of Saturday Night Live, but the SNL cast itself is dying to get another star on the show: “Twilight” heartthrob Robert Pattinson. The campaign to get Pattinson on SNL was officially kicked off again at this year’s Emmy Awards and, so far, the results seem very promising, E! Online informs.
Of course, this is not the first time that fans gear up to push Pattinson as host of an SNL episode. Last time they did so, they only managed to pry a promise from SNL head Lorne Michaels, who said the actor would be considered once the schedule for the upcoming season was cleared. This time, though, Pattinson supporters went straight to the SNL cast to get them to promise they would support the actor should he be considered for the host job.
“The Funny Three – that would be Seth Meyers, Andy Samberg and Kristen Wiig – all want a piece of Robert Pattinson. But really, who doesn’t? On the red carpet for the Primetime Emmy Awards, we fiercely kicked off our campaign to get Rob a hosting spot on Saturday Night Live.” E! says of the recently launched initiative. From what the Funny Three say, they’d be more than happy to have the British star on the show, and this should count for something, E! points out.
“We would love to get Robert Pattinson. How dare you tell me he’s the hot guy from ‘Twilight,’ like I don’t already know!” Seth Meyers says, adding that, “Yes, absolutely!” the “powers that be” at SNL would love to have him as host. “Think of all the ridiculous skits you could do with him. The possibilities are endless! That hair...” E! tells Meyers. “We’re actually hoping if [Rob’s] not available, at least his hair will come by and host.” the funnyman responds. Wiig and Samberg have also given a thumbs-up to the idea of Pattinson hosting SNL, E! also says.
In the meanwhile, though, SNL fans will just have to make do with Megan Fox, who is reportedly preparing intensely for the season premiere, as it’s the perfect opportunity for her to show her “true comedic skills.” In order to do so, she has already thought of many surprises for fans, reports have it.
