14 DAY TRIAL // Robert Pattinson, star of the recent box-office hit “Twilight,” is one of the most loved actors of his age, having a very loyal following especially on the Internet. In fact, Pattinson is so loved that fans simply can’t get enough of him, which is why a petition was started to force the Saturday Night Live producers to have the heartthrob as a guest. Sadly, it’s not going to happen this season, as Twilight On SNL informs.
The website that was started specifically with the purpose of seeing Pattinson doing the show is also the one to break fans’ heart with the announcement that it is not going to happen anytime soon. However, that does not mean that the future might not hold the possibility of seeing Robert as an SNL host, if we’re to believe SNL head Lorne Michaels, who says that, “yeah, of course” they will have Pattinson as a host once the schedule is cleared for the next season.
“We hate to disappoint all you Robert Pattinson fans out there, but you’ll have to wait to see him hosting Saturday Night Live. However, SNL’s head honcho, Lorne Michaels, tells OK! that the show won’t be getting an infusion of vampire blood just yet. ‘Not this season,’ he said at Natural Resources Defense Council 11th annual Forces For Nature benefit in NYC. ‘We’re all locked in with the hosts for this year.’” Twilight On SNL informs.
However, the petition to get the British actor on the show is still going and any “Twilight” or Robert fan can sign it. So far, it has gathered almost 5,000 signatures, which is also the only reason why Michaels heard of the suggestion in the first place, it has been said. It was started by a fan who goes by the name the_mad_chatter and, useless to say, it has generated quite a heated reaction from Pattinson fans, who, as noted above, would go to any lengths just to have more of the usually reclusive star.
