Samsung has officially unveiled this week the new Samsung SGH-D407 handset, at the CTIA Wireless in Las Vegas.

The mid-range GSM handset was launched as an alternative for the SGH-D357 for Cingular, and supports Push-to-Talk, allowing users to connect to one person, or to a group of people, instantly with the touch of a button, and EDGE technology.

Samsung SGH-D407 has a beautiful black casing and a clamshell design and includes features such as a 65k color UFB (Ultra Fine and Bright) LCD internal display (128 x 160 pixel resolution), monochrome external display, and VGA camera with 4x digital zoom that can also record video clips. While there is no FM or MP3 player, the handset still supports MP3 and AAC format ring tones, and PC syncronization.

The price of the quad-band phone hasn't been disclosed yet, but it will most likely be available during the Q2 this year.
