Even though Samsung Galaxy S it already sells all over the Asian continent, the Japanese consumers will only be able to get the device in October. Apparently NTT DoCoMo and Dai Nippon Publishing plan to start an e-book store, which will be trialed on Samsung's Galaxy S and Sony Ericsson's Xperia device, beginning late October.

This points out to an upcoming release of the highly-acclaimed Galaxy S smartphone in early October through NTT DoCoMo network operator.

Another report regarding the collaboration between Samsung and carrier NTT DoCoMo concerning the E-book reader business, mentions that the anticipated Samsung Galaxy Tab Android tablet will be available in Japan by next March.

Samsung Galaxy S is powered by Google's Android 2.1 operating system and comes with a great deal of high-end features, including the 4-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display, a fast 1GHz application processor, support for HSDPA, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity options.

The smartphone sports a 5-megapixel camera with auto focus and video recording capabilities, geo-tagging, touch focus, face and smile detection.

Other key features of the device include: 512 MB RAM, 2GB ROM, microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB), 3.5mm audio jack, built-in GPS receiver, FM radio, and a battery that can offer up to 6 hours and 30 minutes of talk time, or up to 570 hours of standby time.

The Samsung Galaxy S measures 122 x 64 x 10 mm and weighs in at 118 grams.

Samsung Galaxy Tab is powered by Google's Android 2.2 operating system and comes with a 7-inch touchscreen display (1024 x 600 pixels resolution), a Cortex A8 1.0GHz processor, a 3-megapixel camera with auto focus and LED Flash, and a secondary 1.3-megapixel front camera for video calls.

The device embeds 16GB / 32GB of internal memory, 512 MB RAM, as well as support for up to 32GB of additional storage space via microSD memory card slot.
