Canadian mobile phone carrier Rogers Wireless has recently added a new handset to its lineup, namely the Samsung Corby Plus. The device has been put on sale via the operator's website, where it sports a price tag of $129.99, available for prepaid customers looking for an attractive phone. This addition to Samsung's Corby lineup comes to the market with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, making the device even more appealing than its brothers might be.

Here's a short presentation Rogers makes to Samsung Corby Plus: “Stay elegantly connected on the Corby Plus through a 2.6 touch screen and slide-out QWERTY keyboard. You can quickly access your favorite apps and contacts from the customizable menu. Simply drag and drop your favorite widgets to your homescreen. The Corby Plus also comes with a 2.0MP camera, 3.5 mm audio jack.”

The specifications of the new device includes support for GSM (850/900/1800/1900 MHz) and HSPA (3.6 Mbps) (850/1900 MHz) frequencies, a 2.6-inch touchscreen display that boasts a 240 x 320 pixel (QVGA) resolution and support for 65k colors, a 2.0-megapixel photo snapper with 3x zoom and video recording capabilities, and up to 122 MB of internal memory space, which is coupled with a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space.

Other specs and features of Samsung Corby Plus include Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity options, along with built-in A-GPS receiver and a battery that can deliver up to 7 hours of talk time, or up to 7 days of standby time, all inside a device that measures 105 x 56.8 x 15.68 mm and weighs in at 110g. The new mobile phone also comes with support for text and picture messaging, as well as for email, IM and social networking, not to mention the multimedia player and the possibility to enjoy up to 8 hours of music playback with it.
