Wireless carrier T-Mobile already announced publicly its plans to introduce more mobile phones powered by the Google Android operating system during the ongoing year, yet no exact details on its plans have been officially unveiled. While waiting for word to come out on the handsets that should come to its offering, we've already stumbled upon some leaked info on its roadmap, which shows that one of the mentioned Android phones is expected to be the Samsung Bigfoot.

And while we only spotted the handset in a blurry image from the roadmap in the past, now we have the chance to take a closer look at it, courtesy of a picture that surfaced onto the Web via BGR. As you can see in the photo, the device comes with a green casing and a sliding QWERTY keyboard, and it is also reported to feature an AMOLED display, though it hasn't been confirmed just yet, which would make it one of the few devices to come from the South Korean company with this feature.

According to BGR, the upcoming Samsung Bigfoot, which is supposedly the replacement for the T-Mobile G1 (HTC Dream) mobile phone, will sport UMTS/HSDPA connectivity, along with a 3-megapixel photo snapper, while the capacitive AMOLED touchscreen display will be 3.0 inches large. The phone should come to T-Mobile's offering as soon as this summer, yet the exact release date is unknown at the moment.

The specs of Samsung Bigfoot made it into the wild a while ago, and we should mention, for those who might not remember, that it should also feature Bluetooth 2.0, Wi-Fi and USB 2.0 connectivity, as well as GPS receiver and 100MB of internal memory coupled with a microSD memory card slot for additional storage space. Hopefully, Samsung and T-Mobile will decide to go official with the handset in the near future, so stay tuned to learn more on it.
