And a BlackBerry Bluetooth Headset

Canadian mobile phone maker Research In Motion might soon come to the market with yet another interesting device, namely a BlackBerry Bluetooth watch, which might include a series of functionalities similar to those available on BlackBerry phones. Some of the features that said device would sport include the possibility to show e-mail, BlackBerry Messenger, Facebook, and SMS text alerts, while also packing FM transmitting capabilities with the possibility to stream music from a BlackBerry smartphone to the car stereo system.

According to BlackBerry OS, this tip comes directly from the RIM VP of Accessories, Antoine Boucher, who let the info slip a while ago during the WES BlackBerry conference. For what it's worth, this might be only a rumor in the end, especially considering the large amount of time that passed since WES, yet there are chances that RIM indeed preps something in the accessories area of the market, and a watch might be just the thing, along with a BlackBerry Bluetooth Headset supposedly called Alpha 1 at the moment, which was also mentioned by the RIM VP.

From what we've seen around in the news, there are not great chances that the RIM Bluetooth watch will turn into a watch-phone, though we're sure that this would have drawn a wide range of enthusiasts. Even so, the features that the device should sport seem attractive enough, considering the fact that it will be connected with your Berry all the time and will show alerts on different messages you have just received.

In case the RIM Bluetooth watch and the BlackBerry Bluetooth Headset prove real, we're going to hear more about them in the near future, and maybe even see a few leaked photos before they come to the market. The image that can be seen on the source site, however, is not the device itself, but a Sony Ericsson MBW-100 watch. No details on when the RIM watch could land on the market have surfaced, nor on the price tag it could feature.
