You can never have too many first-person shooters, just like you can never have enough French fries or, too much ice cream. As it turns out, PC gamers are the lucky ones this time of the year, as most of the times, with Wild Hare Entertainment announcing today that their fast paced FPS title, INSTINCT, is set for a release this August.

As the official report reads, this fast-paced first person shooter features state-of-the-art 3-D graphics and an intense storyline based on the game's own world. Created by the best developers that the Russian Federation has to offer, INSTINCT maintains the deep and vivid story with the original Russian voices. Instinct allows players to see the story through the eyes of three playable characters. The players step back and forth through time to see every event unfold and uncover every secret of INSTINCT's action-packed, but also complex, world.

"INSTINCT is the new face of horror in first person shooter games," said Shawn Russ, Director of Operations for Wild Hare Entertainment. "Players are introduced to a world where a deadly virus has been released into a military base that the player was assigned to secure. The virus mutates average human beings into bloodthirsty monsters intent on killing you, the player. Instinct is a heart-pounding FPS that will keep players captivated from beginning to end."

Not only does INSTINCT sport those state-of-the-art 3D visuals mentioned above (that's so last millennium, why don't they consider changing it? it confuses people), but it is said to also feature High Dynamic Range (HDR) imaging, cutting-edge depth of field mechanics, physics with incredible realism, and dynamic lighting and shadows, as the game is being developed by Digital Spray Studios. I have to say, it sounds like nothing else out there...

OK, I might have missed something here... Where are the multiplayer features? That's right, there aren't any, because this one's going to be a campaign-based FPS. Those are good too I guess. Anyway, keep in mind that INSTINCT is set for an August release this year, for the PC platform, being distributed by Noviy Disk. Does your "gut" say it's a good title...?
