14 DAY TRIAL // South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung reportedly chose O2 UK as the first wireless carrier that will launch its Jet Ultra Edition handset on the market, it seems, as the operator has just added the device to its offering. Moreover, it seems that O2 won't be only the first retailer to deliver the latest Jet device to the market, but that it will also offer exclusive gifts to the first 10,000 customers who will chose the new handset from Samsung.
The new Samsung Jet Ultra Edition is available for purchase from the wireless operator for free on a £25 per month tariff, and the first 10,000 customers will receive the device in a limited edition Gangster box. Moreover, it seems that these users will also receive a gift exclusive to O2, namely a set of three gangster DVDs that includes Scarface, Casino and American Gangster, dubbed The Ultimate Gangster Collection. O2 reportedly plans to support The Ultimate Gangster Collection via a press campaign in up to 20 stores nationwide, retail locations which will have Gangster news-stands set up outside.
When it comes to the specifications list of the new Samsung Jet Ultra Edition, we can count integrated social networking capabilities, coupled with a BBC iPlayer and with a widget for the users of this service. Moreover, the handset comes with a redesigned appearance and is now dressed up in black with a silver surround on the front. The new device includes an 800MHz processor inside, a 3.1-inch touchscreen display, a 5-megapixel photo snapper, HSDPA and Wi-Fi capabilities, as well as Active Sync features, enabling users to move emails from Outlook Exchange and Google Mail.
