South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung seems determined to attract all the eyes of the media towards it these days. It was only yesterday that we learned that the company had officially unveiled the Omnia Pro B7610 Windows Mobile-powered mobile phone (which was spotted in the wild as the Louvre as well), and now we see the company launching another device, the Samsung Jet.

The same as the recently showcased Omnia Pro B7610, Omnia Pro B7320 and Galaxy, the new Samsung Jet is a smartphone, and the company says that it comes to the market with a wide range of features. Among them, we should count a multi-task manager, as well as support for Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync, not to mention the handset's sleek and compact design and the user-friendly menu navigations its UI offers.

The Samsung Jet comes to the market with a 3.1” WVGA AMOLED display with full touch-screen capabilities and support for 16 million colors. According to the company, the new WVGA AMOLED screen included in the phone is able to deliver a resolution four times higher when compared with the WQVGA displays.

Other specs of the new Samsung Jet include an 800MHz application processor, able to offer impressive speed levels and leveraged performance. According to Samsung, the Jet can be considered the “fastest full touch handset on the market today.” At the same time, the device comes with a 5-megapixel photo snapper, built-in GPS, DivX and XviD video support and the DNSe & SRS Sound Effect technology.

One of the new features that the Jet includes is Samsung's latest TouchWiz 2.0 user interface, which comes with an intuitive 3D media gate UI, motion-response UI, smart unlock, as well as a customizable widget screen. Moreover, the handset sports the Dolfin Web browser, which is meant to provide ease of navigation and speed when connecting to the Internet, and especially to social networking sites.
