It seems that tablets really are getting more and more popular, enough so that Notion Ink has been successful in exhausting the number of pre-orders for the Adam Tablet.

When the Advent Vega tablet sold out in hours, and then repeated the performance about a week later, it became more than clear that customers want more tablets fast.

That said, the Vega was not even close to being the only slate on sale or on the way, not unexpected considering how practically every big name with access to the mobile computing solutions got involved early on.

Nevertheless, there are those companies that are less well known, some of which have no history in this particular market segment.

Notion Ink is one such company and its Adam slate hit a few bumps, like uncertainties about whether or not it was a wise move to pre-order it.

More recently, however, Notion Ink released the much required video demo of the tablet running its custom-made Eden UI multitasking system.

Whether because of the impression let by that video or not, it now seems that pre-orders can no longer be set.

This is not because Notion Ink has had to delay the product in any way, or any such reason.

What happened was that, even with all the hesitation, all available pre-orders have been sold out, a fact easily seen by visiting the official website.

Verily, it was the supply of tablets built with an LCD (liquid crystal display) that was exhausted slower, since the slates featuring Pixel Qi screens were picked out, so to speak, in a matter of hours.

Granted, this was because Pixel Qi models were significantly fewer, because only a limited number of those screens were supplied by their maker.

Regardless, the fact remains that Notion Ink will definitely reap at least one wave of benefits from entering the tablet market, though there is no way of knowing any sort of actual financial details.
