Nokia N79 has been recently spotted on the Web in a black color scheme. All-black versions of this multimedia phone have been seen across the Internet before, yet this is the first time the handset can be admired in all its splendor.

As many of you might already know, the original model comes in white and features three battery covers that have been designed to change the phone's theme when attached. The new, darker variant comes with the same ability as well, except that the covers that users will now be able to choose from are patterned silver, patterned black, and plain black.

The new black Nokia N79 might be targeted only at the Taiwanese market, as its keypad would suggest, yet the mobile phone is expected to come with its new coat on the European and American markets as well, although it is uncertain if or when that will happen.

The device should sport a 5-megapixel photo snapper with Carl Zeiss optics, auto focus and LED flash, a 3.5mm jack, stereo speakers and stereo Bluetooth, as well as FM transmitter and radio. The Symbian S60 smartphone comes with a 2.4-inch display that is able to provide a 240 x 320 pixel resolution and support for up to 16 million colors. In addition, the handset features the N-Gage gaming platform.

The Nokia N79 also brings GSM (850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900) and HSDPA (900 / 2100) connectivity, 85MB of internal memory, coupled with a microSD (TransFlash) memory card slot with support for up to 8GB of additional storage, GPRS Class 11, EDGE Class 32, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, a secondary camera for video calls, WAP 2.0 browser, as well as HTML and RSS feeds, TV-out, Push to Talk, document viewer, GPS/A-GPS and support for Nokia Maps.
