Mobile phone carrier 3UK has announced officially plans to bring to its airwaves one of the latest handsets from Finnish maker Nokia, namely the Nokia C7.

Running under the new Symbian^3 operating system, the Nokia C7 comes with high end features, packed inside a device that measures only 10.5mm thick.

The new mobile phone includes an 8-megapixel photo snapper with HD video recording capabilities, as well as a 3.5-inch high-resolution touchscreen display. The Nokia C7 has been designed so as to be a great options for those interested as staying connected at all times with friends over social networking sites.

Built-in live updates from Facebook and Twitter straight on the homescreen were included in the mix, along with fast access to e-mail.

“The Nokia C7 is a great addition to our smartphone range” Sylvia Chind, Head of branded devices at Three UK, commented on the upcoming launch.

“Our customers know how to make the most of our fast and reliable 3G network. Pairing the Nokia C7 with our network gives our customers the best Symbian^3 experience possible. We'll be announcing dates and pricing shortly,” she continued.

Some of the main features of the new device include multiple homescreens and Visual Multi-Tasking, as well as great multimedia features powered by the new Symbian^3 operating system.

The new handset comes with 8 GB of internal memory, while also offering users the possibility to add up to 32GB of additional storage space into the equation via an included MicroSD memory card slot.

According to the wireless carrier, the new Nokia C7 is expected to become available for purchase on its airwaves sometime in the fourth quarter of the ongoing year, but no specific release date was offered.

Unfortunately, no details on the price tag the new device would come with were unveiled, nor on possible monthly plans the carrier would make it available on.
