One every other day now. Nintendo's making a habit!

What is Nintendo starting a trend or something? Just a little while ago, gaming sites were informed that Super Smash Bros. Brawl was going to feature an item called the Gooey Ball, inflicting damage on opponents much like Master Chief's sticky grenade. Then, Nintendo revealed that gamers will be able to perform finishing moves, using the Final Smash. Today...

Today it's the Cracker Launcher. Sounds a little funny doesn't it? Here's what it does: "After you grab the item, it'll rapidly release blast after blast of firecrackers that explode gaudily." 1UP also adds that gamers will be able to walk and jump with the item, but other shooting items as well, such as the Super Scope. Uuu! "What does it do, what does it do!?" say Super Smash Bros. fans. Keep your pantyhose on, I'm sure Nintendo has one item scheduled for every week.

Melee sounds like garbage now huh? Don't dare not to admit it! Where's all the fun if you can't shoot while running? Not that Nintendo wants to turn Brawl into a first-person-fighting game. Everything's there though: the grenade (Halo), the finishing move (Mortal Kombat) and now the launcher (Unreal Tournament). Kidding of course, but I'm sure that Wii gamers get more excited about this title with the passing of each day.

What'll it be next: the Crazy Jetpack? Or maybe a set of wheels (a Monster Truck of some sort)? With games such as Super Smash Bros. Brawl, even if the Wii's control scheme is rather simple, nothing beats a fun game. And Super Smash Bros. Brawl will prove to be just that when it's released... What, you didn't think that I was going to tell you when it's launching did you? Only Nintendo knows that, so until they make some serious official statements, all you'll get is items and features. Keep in touch.
