A while back, word got out that the Browns, the polygamist family whose life has been famously documented in the TLC reality series “Sister Wives,” were moving to Nevada. They’re already there but, as it happens, their own neighbors don’t want them near.

Kody Brown, his 16 children, and his 4 wives moved to Las Vegas, presumably while also shooting for the second season of the show, because that would have offered TLC a better shot of getting good scenes.

Now that they’re there, their neighbors are telling the media (and TMZ in particular) that they don’t want the family around them – with some of them even saying they’re thinking of moving because of them.

One such neighbor can’t stand the idea of living next to a polygamist family, while another says she’s determined to look for a new place for her and her family because of the Browns.

Another says children are asking why Mr. Brown has more wives, while only one says he’s ok with the Browns as neighbors as long as they don’t cause too much “drama.”

“TMZ spoke with several of the new neighbors and while some sound tolerant of the Brown clan (‘It’s a quiet neighborhood, and as long as it stays drama free, then we’re fine’) others want nothing to do with them,” the e-zine notes.

“One neighbor told us, ‘I don’t want my family surrounded by polygamists’,” TMZ further reports.

“Another was upset because now her young children are asking her about polygamy – and now she plans on moving. She told us, ‘I am not tolerating the polygamists or their TV show in my neighborhood’,” the same e-zine writes.

As a final irony, the reason while the Browns moved here is because polygamy is not illegal. Another one was that the move would have allowed the wives to look for jobs, since a couple of them were fired after the show went on air and an investigation was launched into their lifestyle.
