To leverage the mobile experience of carriers users

Leading mobile phone maker Motorola, Inc. has recently announced that it has managed to ink a commercial W-CDMA contract with China United Network Communications Corporation Ltd. (China Unicom), the largest telecom operator in China. According to Motorola, the new deal marks a significant milestone for Motorola on China’s 3G market, proving that the company is a strong industry player, which is able to offer market-leading W-CDMA network solutions.

According to the contract agreement between the two, Motorola will deliver W-CDMA radio-access network equipment to China Unicom, as well as a packet switched core network (PS core), and the 2G/3G interoperability functions that are meant to provide the seamless integration of China Unicom’s GSM and W-CDMA networks.

Motorola offers innovative and feature-rich W-CDMA solutions, which have been developed so as to allow mobile phone carriers like China Unicom to capitalize on the growing demand for data and media mobility. Its innovative solutions are able to offer high-performance data services, as well as a seamless integration with the next-generation networks.
