Capcom has announced that it has established a release date for its upcoming MotoGP 09/10 developed by Monumental Games. The motorcycle simulation title is set to be outed on the PlayStation 3 from Sony and on the Xbox 360, and will arrive in North America on March 16 and three days later on the European market.

MotoGP 09/10 is the second bike racing title Capcom is handling as a unique developer. MotoGP 08 received very mixed reviews and the publisher took some time to rethink the way it approaches the franchise. The resulting MotoGP 09/10 videogame is set to be initially launched with the teams, riders and bikes from the 2009 season and will offer a more simulation-minded experience.

The heart of the title will be a Career Mode, which will allow the player to hire new staff, manage the pit crew and tweak the bike to reach the ultimate goal and win the MotoGP championship. A variety of options will be available in order for the gamer to be able to tailor the experience to its needs. There will be online leaderboards offered for bragging rights, a more arcade-like free play mode and a multiplayer section that can support up to 20 racers in full championship simulations.

Capcom has also been talking about two downloadable content packs, which will be offered for free after the game comes out. The first DLC package is set to include the 800cc racing bike class with all the teams, their uniforms and their riders together with the Silverstone Arena Circuit and the Balatonring circuit in Hungary, which are set to be raced for the first time in the 2010 season. After quite a while, the developer will also put out a second DLC containing the bikes, the riders and the teams for the 600cc and 125cc classes of bikes alongside updated stats and data linked to the new racing season.
