The clock is ticking for the release of the insanely anticipated “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” with Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara as leads. A new TV clip shows more of the latter in her controversial and challenging role.

Based on the “Millennium” trilogy by Stieg Larsson and the Swedish film also called “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo,” this is one of the hottest releases of 2011, with some even saying it might land an Oscar or two.

Until now, Sony has been relatively thrifty with images from the film, which means that every little bit that's never been seen before is like manna from heaven for the millions of fans from all over the world.

The new TV clip, which you can see above, shows a bit more of Lisbeth Salander (Mara) and less of Mikael Blomkvist (Craig) and the job he agrees to do and that ultimately puts his own life in danger.

It also confirms, for those who still had their doubts, that Mara will make a very convincing Lisbeth, a very troubled, highly intelligent and fascinating individual.
