Coloured shoulder plates from early gameplay footage have been confirmed

Just a few days ago, the Internet blew up in flames with news about modders being able to break into the Halo 3 Beta code and extract vital information on future new implemented features in the game. Today's news brings even more hot features and items, found by the same hackers, such as new armour types and separate armour parts.

Cobra, Intruder, Ninja and Regulator are said to be the newly spotted armour types available for Spartan use in multiplayer, as 7th Columnist reports, with the standard default Mjolnir also being selectable too. The best part however, is that for each of these new types there are separate amour parts listed, like Helmet, left and right shoulders and body. These items are listed separately, suggesting that players will most likely be able to mix and match parts, in order to build their own, fully customized Spartan.

You shouldn't be at all surprised, as the last gameplay footage released by Bungie featured Spartans with different coloured shoulder plates and helmets. And, as the site mentioned above also reports, similar listings are included for Elite use, where players are offered the choice of new Predator or Raptor types, or the standard default.

That Intruder armour sounds most appealing. Although we don't know anything about it, we can all guess where that one will help. Does Valhalla ring a bell?

For those of you who haven't been reading the news recently, you should know that Bungie has totally fixed downloading the Beta through Crackdown and prolonged the Beta trial. Bungie officials said: "given the circumstances, we will be extending the duration of the "Halo 3" multiplayer beta from June 6 to June 10, 11:59 PM PDT."

Yes I know, that's not much at all, but hey, don't be picky about it! Remember for how much you had to wait to even see the damned game? That's right. Put a sock in it and go Live and "finish the fight!"
