Blizzard Entertainment, the developer working on the very popular World of Warcraft MMO, has announced that it is introducing two new in game pets to its video games, named Lil' Ragnaros and the Moonkin Hatchling, which are now on sale with 50 percent of the revenue gained from the last one going to the charity Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Both Lil' Ragnaros and the Moonkin Hatchling are selling for 10 dollars on the online Blizzard Store and only sales which are registered before December 31 of this year are being donated to the charity.

Players who are working for the Alliance are set to get a purple version of the in game pet while those aligned with the Horde will get a brown one.

There are no actual in game benefits to be derived from Lil' Ragnaros and the Moonkin Hatchling and they only serve a cosmetic and maybe status purpose for a player.

A statement from Blizzard reads, “We're looking forward to making another big contribution to this great cause on behalf of the World of Warcraft community following the close of this year's promotion.”

Blizzard is trying to replicate the success which it has seen last year when it put up for sales the Pandaren Monk pet, with the similar idea of creating a donation for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

A huge number of players queued in order to get it and Blizzard ended up donating no less than 1.1 million dollars in 2009.

At the moment Blizzard is preparing to launch the third expansion for World of Warcraft, called Cataclysm, which is set to completely remake certain area of the game while also delivering new content and raising the level cap.

World of Warcraft remains the most popular subscription based MMO in the world, with more than 12 million players enjoying it at the moment, and the number is expected to rise once Cataclysm comes out.
